Reaching education to doorstep

In 2004, World Bank organized a Country Level Development Marketplace in India. The venue was WB office in New Delhi and the chief guest was India's serving President, Dr. Abdul Kalam. The contest went through three stages, ideation and proposal writing; exhibition and presentation among semi-finalist organizations and review and selection of top 20 ideas by World Bank. I was working for the CSR of Bajaj Auto then. I worked on a radically new idea of reaching out to children in remote communities in a novel way - load you content on a van or a bus and go from place to place! The idea won the heart of reviewers and figured in the top twenty ideas. BAL CSR received a prize grant for piloting the project. http://web.worldbank.org/archive/website00811/WEB/PDF/IDMF.PDF
